Tunisia on July 24,2024<\/strong><\/p>\n The determination to maintain the advocacy for equality, dignity, and freedom for all groups, defending Tunisian women that are omitted from social justice and political resolution, under circumstances characterized by suppressing the civil forces and all its factions and restricting various active forces in society. Women engaged in public affairs are penalized twice through offensive and insulting campaigns, violating their physical and ethical dignity in digital spaces along with supervisions violating their basic rights to a fair trial and effective judicial process.<\/p>\n In the face of all this oppressive negligence and the persistence of silencing the voices:<\/p>\n We, the elements of the independent feminist dynamic and Intersection Association for Rights and Freedoms, are determined to assertively act for the imprisoned Tunisian women caused by their involvement in public activities to stop the legal proceedings and judicial prosecutions against them, and to implement measures on liberating them by launching a \u201ccampaign for the immediate release for the female prisoners due to their activism in the public sphere\u201d, starting from July 25th to August 13th, 2024, along with the mobilization of active political, civil, legal, union, social, cultural, democratic and academic forces to express solidarity and unity with the movement through a set of actions during the stated period.<\/p>\n The campaign wraps up with a protest on Tuesday, the 13th of August 2024, in front of the municipal theater in Tunis, with the participation of all the feminist organizations and its partners of human rights and civil associations, to express their refuse on celebrating the national women\u2019s day, during this ongoing violation of women\u2019s rights, the suppressing on freedoms and the circulation of hate speeches within its members.<\/p>\n The feminist dynamic and Intersection association of Rights and Freedoms, reassert their demand for the prompt release of the female prisoners due to their engagement in the public sphere.<\/p>\n They demand the cease of legal actions taken against activists, including journalists, feminist advocates, social community members, and politicians from different political and ideological foundations, promoting the action to eliminate the executive power over the judiciary.<\/p>\n In the face of this political crisis, aggressions on institutions, and the defamation of every opposing and critical expression, the feminist dynamic and Intersection Association for Rights and Freedoms, urgently demand all civil forces, activists, and citizens, to participate and support the campaign, to rise above this stagnation that had impacted the vital forces, with women being particularly its most exposed and precarious victims.<\/p>\n \n Signatures:<\/p>\n The organizations that include the components of the feminist independent dynamic:<\/p>\n The Tunisian Association of Democratic Women (ATFD)<\/p>\n Association Aswat Nisaa<\/p>\n Association Beity<\/p>\n Women’s and Citizenship Association of Kef<\/p>\n Amal Association for family and children<\/p>\n Association Kalam<\/p>\n Association Tawhida Ben Cheikh<\/p>\n Partner Associations:<\/p>\n Intersection Association for Rights and Freedoms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The feminist dynamic and Intersection Association for Rights and Freedoms launched a campaign to release the women in custody due to their activism in the public community.
