Who we are?

Intersection Association for Rights and Freedoms

Intersection Association for Rights and Freedoms (IARF) is an independent human rights and research NGO based in Tunisia and it is founded in 2020. It seeks to contribute to strengthening both the concept and practice of freedom, democracy, and human rights in Arab countries. It is through evidence-based research, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting that Intersection Association aims at developing public policy, legislation, and practices that are in line with international conventions and treaties on human rights and democratic governance.

An Arab world whose societies are inclusive, tolerant and democratic and whose residents’ rights and freedoms are universally guaranteed. And technology contributes to the application of human rights principles.

Our mission

Empowering citizens to realize and safeguard their rights and freedoms. Researching societal, cultural and political trends linked to the current state of human rights and democracy. Putting forward effective policy alternatives and recommendations to advance good governance and human rights protection. Initiating and contributing to actionable endeavors to advance the concept and practice of freedom, democracy and human rights.
